The normal trading session is the time when all of the trade takes place.
Stocks are bought or sold during a routine trading session only when the purchasing and selling prices are equal. The bilateral matching system is the name for this system.
The regular session runs from 9:00 a.m. to 3:20 p.m.
The closing session follows the regular session. The trades are closed during the closing session. The stock cannot be sold or purchased. It runs for ten minutes, from 03:30 to 03:40 p.m.
The closing price is calculated during the closing session.
Following the conclusion of the closing session, the post-close session begins. Traders can bid for the next day at the closing price during the post-closing session. The stock market closes at the end of this session.
The trader makes a profit the next day if the beginning price is higher than the closing price, and if the odds do not go well, they can cancel the order during the order entry period.
The after-hours session begins at 3:40 p.m. and ends at 4:30 p.m.
