To make transactions from the Central Bank of India account, customers need to register a beneficiary first. For every online fund transfer including RTGS and NEFT, a beneficiary is mandatory. 

Customers of CBI can use the following guidelines to add beneficiaries. CBI Net Banking and CBI Mobile Banking (CENT Mobile) can be used to add beneficiaries.

What is a beneficiary?

When a remitter transfers money to another bank account. The receiver of the funds is known as a beneficiary. A beneficiary can be an Axis bank customer or can be a user of different bank services.

How to add a beneficiary to your CBI Mobile Banking (CENT Mobile) account:

Step #1: Go to the official website of the Netbanking at the Reserve Bank of India.

Step 2: Log in to the website using your login credentials.

Step #3: Go to the menu and choose Money Transfer.

Step #4: Select the option to add a beneficiary. The Fund Transfer Type will be requested on the website.

Step #5: If your payee has a bank account, select CBI account; if your payee does not have a bank account, select Other Bank Account.

Step #6: Fill in all of the required information, such as the bank name, IFSC code, Nickname, and Account Number.

Step #7: Review all of the information and submit it by clicking the Submit button.

Step #8: Complete the grid authentication process. Your chosen recipient will be added.

How to add a beneficiary to your CBI Mobile Banking (CENT Mobile) account:

Step 2: Download and open the CBI CENT Mobile mobile banking app.

Step 2: Log in to the program using your log-in credentials.

Step #3: Choose the Money Transfer option from the menu.

Step #4: On the following screen, select Manage Beneficiaries.

Step #5: Select the payee transfer type. Choose CBI account if your payee is a bank account holder; if the payee does not have a CBI account, click Other Bank Account.

Step #6: The application will now prompt you to enter all beneficiary information, including the beneficiary limit, account number, nickname, and IFSC code.

Step #7: Once you’ve completed the form, press the confirm button.

Step #8: The CENT Mobile application of the Central Bank of India will be used to add your beneficiary.

Step #9: Once you’ve completed the process, the bank will give you a confirmation SMS.

The recipient will become active in four hours. You can now transfer the funds after the process of adding beneficiaries is completed.
