How to Add Bank Account In Paytm?

Add Bank Account In Paytm With Debit Card

Here are the steps to add a bank account in Paytm with a debit card:

  1. By entering your security password, you can access Paytm.
  2. Now, on the upper left side of the screen, tap on your profile image.
  3. There will be a menu.
  4. Then select Payment Settings.
  5. In the next screen, select UPI & Connected Bank Accounts as the first choice.
  6. The following screen displays a list of all previously added banks, as well as the option to add a new bank.
  7. Choose the option to Add Another Bank Account.
  8. Paytm will display all of the platform’s registered banks.
  9. Look for your bank and tap it.
  10. Give us your registered phone number.
  11. The Paytm app will retrieve all of your bank account information.
  12. Paytm will send you a verification message to the phone number you provided.
  13. Give your debit card information. If you have a Maestro debit card, enter 01/49 as the expiry date in the expiry date section.
  14. Paytm will issue you with a UPI ID.
  15. The Paytm app will be updated to include your bank account.

Add Bank Account In Paytm Without Debit Card? 

Customers can not use any transaction facility on the application if the debit card is not added to Paytm. In case, if you do not have a physical credit card, you can always request a virtual debit card from your bank.

You can also receive a virtual debit card by opening a bank account with Paytm Payment Bank Limited.

Here’s how to link a bank account to a virtual debit card in Paytm:

  1. First, get a virtual debit card.
  2. By entering your log-in information, you can access the Paytm app.
  3. In the top left side of the screen, tap the profile image.
  4. Choose Payment Settings from the navigation bar.
  5. Choose UPI & Connected Bank Accounts from the drop-down menu.
  6. All of the previously added banks will be listed in the Paytm app, along with the opportunity to add a new bank.
  7. Choose the option to Add Another Bank Account.
  8. From the list of all the platform’s registered banks. Look for your bank and tap it.
  9. Enter the phone number associated with your bank account.
  10. All of your bank account information will be retrieved by the Paytm app.
  11. Your linked cellphone number will receive a verification message.
  12. Give your virtual debit card information.
  13. Without a physical debit card, your bank account will be added to the Paytm app.
