How to Add Bank Account In Google Pay?

Google Pay is a mobile application developed by Google for online banking. With this application, you can pay for goods and services, send money to people using their email addresses or phone numbers, among other things. Like any app, Google Pay is still improving with each version released. If you want to make the most of this app, it’s important to know how to add a bank account in Google Pay and start using it to pay for things online!

Add Bank Account In Google Pay With Debit Card  

To link a bank account to Google Pay, follow these steps:-

  1. Log into the Google Pay app by opening it and logging in.
  2. Click on your account photo in the top right corner of the screen.
  3. Choose the Bank Account choice now.
  4. Choose the option to Add a Bank Account.
  5. The next screen displays all of Google Play’s accessible banks.
  6. Look for your bank and select it.
  7. For the bank, create your UPI ID.
  8. Fill up your registered phone number. Google Pay will automatically retrieve all of your bank account information.
  9. You will receive a verification text from Google Pay. The verification procedure will be automated.
  10. Fill in your UPI PIN. If you don’t have one, you can make one by selecting Forgot PIN: from the drop-down menu.
  11. Now, enter your debit card’s number and expiry date. In case, if your debit card does not have an expiry date, please enter the “01/49” date as an expiry date in Google Pay.
  12. Google Play will now include your bank account.

Add Bank Account In Google Pay Without Debit Card

Users cannot use Google Pay’s UPI services unless they add debit cards. You can create a virtual debit card for your bank account if you don’t have a physical debit card. You can open a bank account online with Kotak Mahindra Bank, Paytm Payment Bank, or any other service provider if you don’t have an account number.

To join a bank account without a debit card to Google Pay, follow these steps:-

  1. Generate a virtual debit card for your bank account. 
  2. Register for Google Pay.
  3. Click on your account photo’s upper right corner.
  4. Select Bank Account from the drop-down menu.
  5. Choose the option to Add a Bank Account.
  6. All of the accessible banks on Google Play will be displayed.
  7. Find your bank and choose it.
  8. Input your registered mobile number, and Google Play will pull up all of your information.
  9. Proceed by entering your virtual debit card information.
  10. You will receive a confirmation message from Google Pay.
  11. It will be added to your bank account. You can use all of Google Pay’s UPI services with the help of a virtual debit card.
